Gawker Media owned blog Jezebel was parodied in a 30 Rock episode that addressed the notions of feminism and women in comedy. The mock site echos Jezebel’s appearance, content and recent war of words with The Daily Show in which a blogger accused the program of being sexist. This episode was brilliant how it included a character portraying Olivia Munn and Sarah Silverman while also critiquing Jezebel with a cutting jab in which Liz Lemon describes Joan of Snark as a, “really cool feminist website where women talk about how far we’ve come and which celebrities have the worst beach bodies.”

Nancy recognizes Avery Jessup from a Overshoppe.com commercial. During a clip from the ad, Avery repeatedly pronounces “O” with a Maryland accent. This segment includes many elements of typical Overstock.com commercials, such as the white/grayish background where the only color highlighted is red. It also mocks Overstock’s annoying repetition of the letter O. The logo is also similar to Overstock’s, however the fictionalized interpretation is more clever because it incorporates a red price-tag instead of a simple box.

“BEHAVIOR PLACEMENT - “Unlike with product placement, which can seem jarring to savvy viewers, the goal is that viewers won’t really notice that Tina Fey is tossing a plastic bottle into the recycle bin, or that a minor character on “Law and Order: SVU” has switched to energy-saving light bulbs. “People don’t want to be hit over the head with it,” says NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker. “Putting it in programing is what makes it resonate with viewers.”
